    Default amp and sub...

I have a stupid noise coming through the sub and rear speakers that are connected to the amp. remember the noise a tape deck would make if the volume was low it would click click click, and same noise if you recorded onto a tape with nothing being recorded onto it.

I have taken the wires out and then back in, the amp was replaced as the last one went into safe mode and wouldnt come back out of it.

Its really annoying me now and I ripped all the wires out and started again and still dint work

the earth goes to the earth for the rear lights, and the power cable is a fli power cable with a 30 amp fuse, but amplifier has to 25 amp fuse's in it. I have a fli 800 wat amp with 4 channels and a fli sub + vibe 6&9..

    any ideas?

This has been done, live and live remote down one side and rca leads down the other, ground in the boot. generally it makes a whirring noise if this is not done.

RCA leads have been disconnected and then re-connected then the noise.

Might it be that a negative wire is in a positive port?

I have changed all the door speakers and one was very loose on passenger front, so I chopped off the plug and connected wire to wire, think I connected brown and yellow to red, and yellow to black. would that make a difference?

how expensive are your RCA leads. I had the same issue in an older car, tried everything and in the end changed the RCA leads to a decent pair which stopped it. The fact that when you diconnected the RCA leads the noise went away hints alot that they are to blame.

you will be looking at about £25 for a good set of rca leads

streetwires are one of the best you can get

if you go to a good car hifi shop they will help you out .

when you do get the rca leads just run them over the seats to see if it all sorted if it is job done install them in the car
