    Angry You're avin a laugh

How baout this then.I own a 2004 150 1.9 cdti. The warranty run out in june 2007. ince then ive had these problems,

July. Spanner light comes on, ho hum, down to the dealer.
    A new alternator £500.00

    August Temperature guauge goes faulty,
£30.00, & whilst its in the garage they notice that the swirlpot aculator is broke. Ho hum £450.00

September. Spanner light comes on, drops into limp home mode, visit the dealer, ho hum, one of the deisil injectors has failed..£425.00

Now the above sounds expensive, but wait, these prices are AFTER vauxhall have chipped in & paid for some of the work. Ohh i feel great.

This is the problem with computer controlled cars - I swear the manufacturers add in programs to give you dodgy readings when it's 3 years old....

Or am I just being cynical......

You need a word with VX bud, there's a recall out on the 2004 / 2005 vehicles fitted with denso alternators. You shouldn't have been paying out for it, warranty or not.

my warranty had just ran out on my 2004cdti(150) and the alternator and battery went £740 but I am quite friendly with my local dealer and get my servides done there etc so the got vauxhall to pay 90% as goodwill , only cost me £74 And they said I had to pay 10% so I got warranty on the new parts

Very fair result but it scared me running with no warranty, And I do love vectras but not a car I want when its out of warrenty so traided her in for a 2007 2.0t sri nav xp

    lovering the new car

According to the SMMT, replacement parts under warranty or otherwise do no carry a 12 months warranty.
