Tell you what don,t go in the 3.2........................... you will not want to give it back to the owner. But on a serious note they both are very good.

if you decide to go for the 3.2 auto, make sure it's had the gearbox cooler rework done to it..if it's ahd it done then it's a better bet in my book...all the problems with the autos are from the oilcooler.. so if it's done, then it'll be okay.the 3.2's will run to 200K miles easily if well serviced...

the 1800 is a good car, but fuel wise it's not much better than the 3.2 beleive it or not..insurance will be about the same due to the age of the 1.8..but i would warn you that the vectra C is a heavy car, and the 1800 works hard to pull it along..

    but then, i am Biased....

3.2 auto now for 45K miles..

about £300 to swap it out....keep the antifreeze right up to strenght helps the seals in the rad as well it seems...to be 100% honest, you'd be very unlucky to have it happen as it's mainly affecting the 02 on really early cars..and most of these have been fixed or modified under a VX scheme.. so if it's got a VX history or even partial one, then it will have been done..
