    Default Falling prices of VXR's

I was just searching for a possible replacement to my GSi in the event that I get the new job I've applied for, but have been surpised how they have devalued in a very short period of time.
One example is this 2006 Astra VXR with 33,000 miles at only £13k and a similar Vectra VXR wasn't much different in price.

Yup, my m8 has just ordered a brand new 2008 spec Astra VXR with 19's, keyless entry, bluetooth kit, full leather interior in arden blue for £17,500
Priced with all the extras it should be over £21k. If he keeps it for 12-18 months he should not loose too much on it

Just bear in mind that for the first year of the D, there will be no VXR, which will be due in 2009 - there might be an "M3" effect, where prices firm up due to there being zero supply new.

Then when it does arrive, there will probably be zero or cr*p discounts available for the first year, possibly longer, and I never buy the first year's production, which means 2010, ooooh, but look, there's rumours of a facelifted D in 2014 with darker tail lights, maybe I should wait for that one, or how about the Insignia E which is out in 2017?

As opposed to a lot of car for the money now...

Why wait you're only old once...plus the longer you wait the more expensive it will be to run!! Petrol/Tax going up all the time....do it now and then buy a smoker.

It does make sense you know.

    Ok then... I'm sold...

I'll get an ebay stolen recovered.... strip more out of it than the theives did... and sell of the parts....get it down to 1200 KG (with roll cage and driver)

New BTCC front wings, New BTCC from bumper, Flared rear BTCC arches, wider track and 888 racing 18" wheels, 340 BHP Stage III upgrade, straight through exhaust with Anti-Lag device (BAM... BAM... BAM), Two front Recaro Racing Seats with 4 Point harnesses. Transfer the 6-Pot AP Racing brakes over with all the suspension, remove back seats.

    Sorted... £16,000

Anyone up for a track day !!!!

Why do all that, a standard one is still quicker than yours , and costs a lot less than £16k now, I reckon you could pick one up from a dealer for a smidgen over 13k now, 600 for a map and you have a beast !! Very cheap and the cash you save will pay for petrol for a week or matbe 2 if you are carefull !!!
