Special Edition 888 Vectra

Just got my copy of Vauxhall HPM in todays post and it says there are 200 special edition 888 vectra's 2.0ltr turbo SRi which are being made to comply with Homologation rules for BTCC, they come with VXR bodykits, 19" wheels, a special rear diffuser and uprated engine performance from 175 to 190bhp, they also have 4 holes drilled in the front bumper for mounting of racing eyebrows.. they will be the same price of an SRi XP Turbo..

Positive I seen one in Wales a while back, had those THINGS sticking out the bumper. Also I think its got a different head compared with a normal Z20NET. TBH an extra 15Bhp doesn't make it special just another turbo vectra.

Steve did you not say that we won't get a sniff at buying one of these, that they'll all be staff cars?

• Front Brakes are only 4 Pot Calipers with 332 mm discs

• Wheels are only 17" rims !!

As far as I am aware, they will be sold through the dealer networks, just like any other model ??!!

In my opinion, they could have done a MUCH better job with those eyebrow things... they look so nasty its unbelievable.

They should have shaped them better and curved them around the bumper sides like the touring car... and then colour-coded them.

What engine do they put in them, I assume a tuned 2.8T?

it says in the mag that Vx aren't producing a brochure on them and they are available from dealers..

We were talking about this at the meeting on Sunday.

One of the guys who works for VX said that they were going to be offered to the staff as an option on the car scheme in his words, "to get rid of them".
