Default Urgent Help SOS Door Handles

HI, i read the how 2 on how to remove the exterior door handlesas i am getting them all sprayed silver tommorow Tuesday

I managed to get the drivers handle & lock off easy by undoing the screw on the door edge and pulling the handle off, took litrally 2mins

The problem came on the rear door handles and the front passenger handles i undone the screw on the door edge and tried to pull the stub part of the handle off,but it won't budge

Any ideas on how the whole handle comes off If i cant get them off its gonna cost me more ££££'s

    SOS

Start again mate. Open the door, remove the plastic cap over screw, pull handle as if opening the door again, undo the screw and the handle should slide out.
Q what are you doing while the handles are being painted. No useing the car?

The rears are exactly the same as the fronts. I don't see a reason for the problem.

I tried taking a rear handle off mine following the How-To but it didn't work. Thought I was doing something wrong, maybe they changed it?
If you figure it out please let me know.
    Good luck.

just been out with a torch and T20

..........and i removed all my handles i think i wasn't pulling the handle out far enough into the open position.

I made sure i pulled the handle right out and packed it out with a large sponge. Then i undone the T20 screw on the door edge. The stub part of the handle pulled off with a quick jerkthen the main part of the handle hooked out.
I even refitted 1 and took it off again in 2 minutes

Just watch though,if you unscrew the T20 too much it may fall down into the door card, and its an unusual screw which maynot be sold,so take care not to lose it.

Thanks I'm happy i can sleep easy now

    SOS HELP !!

    ....again

ive got my handles back and now i am having trouble refitting them

i put the main handle in and then the stub and tightened the screw up,but the main handle wont seem to pull in to original place

Don't know what i am doing wrong i removed & refitted last week in 5 minutes and now i cant do it.

Do the doors have to be locked/unlocked? or something else?
