    Default diesel fuel around injectors

    i just bought a SRI 150 CDti on taking the engine cover off i found diesel around all the injectors any ideas thanks

    leakoff pipes perished/split or leaking seals on the main fuel lines..

    diesel specialist time or VX dealer.... don't play with Common rail diesels unless you 110% know what you're doing,, the fuel under pressure can sever limbs....

    Default Diesel Around Injectors

    Firstly, do not mess with the pipes. Do not be tempted to tighten any of them. They have to replace any pipework which leaks. Tightening any union is not recommended and it can cause further leakage. I passed the common rail technology course in the summer and that was one of the no no's.

    When inspecting the top of the engine, first look at the inside of the cover. If any there are any tracking marks head straight to the dealer to get the engine inspected.

    Bosch quote 1350 bar for 1st generation to 1600 bar for 3rd generation common rail systems.
    Would certainly spoil yer day!!
