Giovanari v.s Plato .....

BTCC Finals..... Look at this move.... so gutsy...


Plato gets on the inside of Giovanardi coming through the 'S' bends.....

......and pushes Giovanardi wide to the edge of the track.....





...... as Giovanardi runs wide Plato must be thinking "I've now got the clean track and Giovanardi is in the rubbish"..... Plato looks set to take the lead.......

....... But Giovanardi has another idea........





........ forget the track !!!!

....... I'm going off road !!! .......... ..... se ya later Plato !!

....... But Plato sees Giovanardi making a break for it and goes after him.... Colin Mcrae style.... they are now BOTH off the track and still racing each other !! - the crowd are going wild.....






........ its now a flat out race to see who can cut the most grass......

....... Giovanardi has the apex in sight, so can produce a clean exit.....

........ Plato is now off-line as he took too long to leave the track going after Giovanardi....







...... Giovanardi .... now flat out .......drives straight over the gravel pit and disappears in a cloud of dust !!! ..... no one can see him

..... Plato has to swerve back on the track loosing speed and traction.....






Both drivers disappear in the DUST...... the crowd go silent......






GIOVANARDI APPEARS....... HE'S IN THE LEAD....... !!!!!!! BRILLLIANT MOVE.....

I was watching live on TV matey. Like you say a very gutsy move. I was screaming at the TV, saying 'you can't do that', but Giovanardi wasn't bothered in the slightest by his post race interview and said that it was part of touring car racing.

Yeh, he just knew that Plato would follow him off the track and Jason thereby snatched defeat from the jaws of victory...he was out-psyched and out-manoeuvered at the same time, a desperate man after several attempts at nudging Fabio off the track came to nothing. Loved it. And all 3 titles went to VX. Enough said.

I thought they ran the same engine, but it was NA..........

Only the display car has the Z20NET engine. The race car is a custom-built 300bhp naturally aspirated jobbie.

Is that the "badly burned" Jason Plato by per chance? the one that can hardly hold a steering wheel at this time?

Looks like he must have used some palmolive before the race ans swallowed two packs of codine
