Default I've found a car for me.

Sorry peeps, it's not a Vectra C or a Signum. I'll hopefully have it by the weekend.

    It's a Volvo S80 2.4 V5 SE (170bhp) -

I know, I know; my flat cap, pipe and slippers are on order from fleabay.

Now't wrong with them mate! Nice comfy cars.

The only thing to watch is parking dings on the doors - the top of the door is out further than the "protective" strip! My mate who works at a Volvo distribution depot says any used S80 that comes it goes straight in for dent removal!

It's the comfort I'm after to be honest. It's not a quick car by any means but it has potential via BSR if I feel the need.

Looks like an unmarked Police Car...... .... so you'll be having fun in that then....

Very nice, Alex. Shame it's not turbocharged as that limits its BSR upgradeability. Love the interior......and it's a petrol

Yep, you can up it to 188bhp if you wanted to. As John said, if it had been a turbo then it would have been

I've just had a look on the BSR website and it seems the 140bhp and the 170bhp can be mapped to 188bhp. So it looks like the only difference in the two standard cars is the mapping then.

Yep, don't know if the 140bhp is much cheaper?, but if it was you could get the BSR and still have the same power! The 140bhp may only come with lower spec?

To be honest there isn't that much price difference matey. I deffo couldn't live with only 140 in a car that weighs this much. I'm happy with 170 (at the mo)

It did seem a big heavy car after thrashing around in the Astra Coupe.

In that case (given little price difference) better sticking with what you have then. As you say, not a lot of fun having just 140bhp until/if you got the BSR - may as well have the 170 in the meantime.

I'll bet it feels heavier than the Astra! lol
