    Default Bumped The Vectra

just notice still mad, managed to call it a Vevctra lol just before some smart ass points it out

comming down the outside lane and some one pulled out to turn right through the que into my lane without checking ...Bang

Thank god it was dry, ABS and i was not going fast

looks like a new bumper and some minor damage to the bonnet, also the alloy strip off the grill has come off but I guess they wont cover that

Bad luck mate ope it all gets sorted quickly for you.
Similar thing happened to me a few years back, a women turned right from the left lane of a dual carriage across the front of me, she told me it was obviously my fault as she always turned right there!

yea just waiting for the fight, can see it now the will cliam I was flying down the outside lane cuting up the traffic.

Been back and taken some pics my skid marks are only about 1-2 foot long and with the damaged caused think that should prove i was within the 30mph

    Who you inured with ????.

I can tell you that any insurance company WILL have to replace it......this i am certain about as its my job.
Yes guys its me....im one of those (insurance engineer) guys that decides to pass your cars for repairs or not.

When you insure your car/cars everything on that car when you buy it or during the period you own it is covered if your fully comp as long as its not performance enhancing and is genuine manufacturer supplied.

The only time the insurance WONT cover you is either (A).. its not a genuine manufacturer accessory or (B).. if its a performance enhancing item....i.e air filter induction kits...modded suspension...performance exhausts...smoked out windows etc etc.
If you listen carefully when you take out your policies they ask you the question...
" has the vehicle been modified in anyway that can enhance the vehicles performance or handling"
If its fitted with a full bodykit from new then yes...tell them but it wont effect your premium as long as its genuine factory supplied.

Any after market mods are not covered and if you carry out any mods as such you MUST tell the insurance so you know if your covered.
A lot of the large insurance companies wont cover modified cars...we DONT.

If any of you are unfortunate enough to make a claim and live near me, then i will ignore the mods and repair your car regardless if it comes to our bodyshop, who knows you could even end up getting a little extra done.
