    Default Stuttering rear electric windows

Finally got around to fitting the rear electric windows today () and got them tech2'd whilst it was in for it's 3rd service today.

    So they work but:

    - the switches operate the windows upside down, so down is up and vice versa. same on the drivers door switch as well.

    and

    - when you move the window it works for a second then stops. you have to release the switch and press it again etc.

Does anyone have any thoughts? I can live with it, but it is already bugging me and it's only 5 hours

    Cheers,
    Andy

it needs a better tech2 operator....

it can be done, dependant on the door modules you have..

Sounds like the switch is totally reversed. Normally if you hold the switch for say 1-2 seconds then release the window will continue to roll down, until you press it, it stops!

Strange, but as GSi says, Tech2 operator hasn't a scooby really.

I have never heard that before, took me a second to work out what you were saying!!

Does sound like the Tech2 is duff somewhere. The connectors are unique fit iirc? So there's no chance somethings plugged in back to front.

Tis strange and took me a while to get my head around as when I was pressing down I could here the motor clicking in but nothing. The local guy recons it's duff controllers as he has seen the same thing on Vec B (quite common he says).

Am loathed to try the local dealer as I think they might know even less then the local place I went to.

Can live with it for the time being. If there are any suggestions of places in the Yorkshire/Merseyside region, next time I'm going down I'll book in to get it sorted. Probably Feb 2008.

    Cheers,
    Andy

Assume you mean the front door switch??? If so they work in the same fashion as though you were using the rear switches ie stuttering with the switches working upside down. When you flick the centre switch to the fronts, the fronts work normally.

    Beats me
