Squeak

Just started to get a loud squeaking noise when turning left at low speed - sound seems to increase with wheel revolutions then goes once straight??

Was wondering if it is related to the problem I had recently, only then I would get a grinding noise instead...

Can anyone help please?

Bearings or brakes maybe.....

does sound like binding ( slightly ) brakes...time to strip and clean them..

Best way I can describe it is a strange sort of metal rubbing metal squeak....but only on full lock to left. It isn’t constant. It sounds like a rubbing buckled wheel would...squeak......squeak etc. Not the best of descriptions

might well be the pad 'picking up' on the disc still...if it was anything else rotating it would do it in any direction the wheel is pointing..i wonder if the caliper/pad is binding and the hose is just pulling it over onto the disc a shade....

What should I ask the garage to look at?
I did have the pads changed by Vx dealer ealier in the year and only on the front.

Might this be a good time to order the brake upgrade??

Just an update...

Well the squeak turned into a grinding screechy clang sound this morning.


Got to the garage, mainly in second gear.......

All now sorted. Both rear discs and pads replaced and fronts stripped, cleaned and rebuilt. Drives much better now!!
