    Default timing chain

    as i have a timing chain on my 2.2 direct sri, just wondered if and when they need changing years/mileage thanks in advance

    Sould be good for 150k with regular oil change, however I will be changing mine next year its just hit 75k, but want to be confident that all will be ok for the future.

    thanks guys nothing to worry about then as car is an "05" model with a massive wait for it .................................... 24000 miles !!!!!

    You will hear it rattle before it becomes a problem. Keep the oil fresh and clean, 10 k change or less if you like and it may well last well beyond 150k

    never .. you will never need to replace a chain on a chain driven engine as part of any service or time scale they will out last the car .....you may if there is a problem but on the later enignes there dont seem to be any .........
