How about.... Vx are useless and they don't know what they are doing and don't know what they are talking about and they stink and they were funny underwear?

Or, surf through all the threads we have had about this issue and make sure they keep anything they recon they replaced so you can see it.

I think I'm in one of those moods today.

While you are there force them to call VX customer services, they should confirm that there is a general fault with the clutches and give them a case number etc to arrange the replacement parts.

What did she say to get a case number mate.
I phone vaux customer service last week and they would not give me a case number she just said they have 1250 clutches on back order so book it into dealer and if they dont find a fault then they can't do anything
i picked my car up this morning after having it's 2nd service to be told sorry we did not find a fault so can't raise a case number.
if the problem get's any worse bring it back in.what to be told sorry can't find it again

I've literally just called them about mine and was told that the dealer would need to inspect it and contact Vauxhall Technical for authorisation, and I was given a case number. As my car's back in on Tuesday to have an oil seal changed again I've asked them to physically inspect it.

KNS - I would arrange for the car to be left at the dealer overnight for them to try it in the morning, perhaps go along yourself when they do to make sure?

My wife just explained nicely what the problem was and that she knew from looking on this site that it was a common fault, she said that she was aware that they had developed a new clutch to fix this problem, and asked if they could make the part available. The customer service advisor gave her a case number.

Print off all the posts you can find and give it to the dealer - thats what I did and they have not questioned it - in fact the warranty manager has called me regularaly to update me, first time I can remember really decent customer service from my dealer! IMHO I dont think the dealer will be able to identify the fault unless they have a car overnight as mine is fine during the day and only plays up in the morning first thing and then as my dealer says, we all drive differently and it may not be obvious to everyone.
