    Default Pride of Britain Awards

I'm not one for watching awards shows normally but this one seems worth it.

It is really nice to see people who actually deserve awards receiving them. Not just the normal celebrity "Oh look at me I am so wonderful".

The awards involving kids are actually brining a lump to my throat.

    I must be getting soft.

Well done to all those who received awards.

Same here, nice to see "ordinary" people who go beyond the call of duty to help others getting some recognition for a change.
Not like some of the Prima Donna's that think the world owes them a living and the world will end if they can't get their own way.

Come on now you soppy boys.

I never seen it but as you all say it's good to see the man in the street getting respect.
I just sore on CNN that the meat sales guy Botham got a SIR for service's to Cricket and OK his charity work but come on cricket leave it off.
I like it when the old guy up the road gets a big thank you for helping the community and the little kid for saveing his gran etc not the millionairs.

That is always a good show!!! I am suprised the Helicopter was not left on bricks though!!

Just kidding, it is not as bad as it used to be over there, to be honest, my GRan lived on that estate for over 60 years before she died and I can't remember it being as bad as the TV portayed it.

It was not one of the best estates, but can't remember it being that bad.

A mate from works mother in law won an award on that show.

Britains Carer of the Year for 2007 i believe.

He is very proud of her

Not many of us can say that about our mother in laws eh?
