    Default Emmisions light

Hi can anyone help. I put a k&n filter on my 2.0t (sounds great) but my emmissions light is constantly on, it actually came on when i did my air box mod originally. My mate reckons its the lamda sensor. any ideas?

check the Mass airflow sensor connection as a first off..

it has to be something you disturbed when you fitted the K+N and did the mod..don't just swap out the lambda but retrace your steps first, then get the codes read if it still won't go out..I lay good money on the lambda sensor being fine...

when the emissions light comes on, the ECU's store a fault code to tell the techie what actually is wrong with the car..so a trip to VX to get the codes read ( or any garage with an OBD-II compliant scantool with live values) will be no end of help in sussing out whats going on..but if it's coincidental with you installing the K+N then i'd start looking at the MAF and it's wiring first..
