    Default Vectra C, How reliable!!

Below is a list of everything I have had to do to my car since May this year. Its a 3.2 V6 Elite 2002 plate will 48K on the clock. ( 40K when I got it)

-Gearbox replacment due to known fault (coolant leaking into the gearbox)
    -New rear shocks
    -New Exhaust
    -Anti roll bar linkage
    -Inner Tie-Rod ends
    -New Stereo
    -Front Brakes

    Anything else I can expect?

Well, if you live near Duncan you'd better price up a new rear wing/bumper and light.

Can't wait till he logs on tonight

    Brakes (including discs)
Cam belt (don't risk leaving it to 80K)
    Front springs

Probably unlucky with the Stero and Exhaust, and gearbox unlucky the seals went before the recall work was done. Mines on 71+ now.

TBH a lot of that is wear and tear items. With the exception of the stereo and gearbox. So really thats not too bad.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

yeah, the rear shocks are only really good for 15k depending on use. The standard VX ones are ****e. Brakes at 48k, not bad, its a heavy car. Exhaust, they do rust out, all depends on if you do short or long trips to dry it out. you car is 5 years old now. Inner tie rod ends and anti roll bar linkage, some times they do go, the problem with second hand cars is you don't know how it was driven before.

Mine needed a new steering Coloum - sp? - at 46k..... sometimes these things go. Looking at the problems you have had compared to others, its not too bad It could be a lot worse

    Its all IMO though
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

TBH I think it`s normal that a 2002 car need the replacement of all the things mentioned at some point mate....well except the gearbox that will all know it`s a week spot on this cars....

I have never had a damper issue, my old 04 SRi which my brother now owns has done 72000 miles and still on the same dampers, my old 06 reg car now has over 45000 mile son and I know that is still on the same dampers.
