Default Think I've found the tips/tailpipes I want....

Following on from this thread, I was looking at the Powerflow site and came across these tips......

    Option 1 (my current preferred)

....which are 5"x3" so will fit nicely in the cutout on the skirt insert. Any wider and it's going to start fouling/rubbing on the cutout.

The other one I saw was less oval .....

    Option 2

....but I wasn't 100% sure on the slash cut.

Obviously it will be easier to decide when I see them in the flesh and offer them up to the car, but just wanted to get a 'straw poll' of opinions.

I asked if they could simply remove the tips from the current tailpipe and weld on the new tips, so that the tailpipe could still be removed from the backbox and fixing bracket if needed. He seemed to think the best way was weld it straight onto the back box exit, which I must say I wasn't keen on. Anyway, once he sees the tailpipes he may see better what I'm talking about - that's if I use that Powerflow dealer. Just trying to work out which one to go to.

So, opinions on those tips given that my bum looks like this ........

Nice Duncan - I'm going for the 6" x 3" in a couple of months - I was going for 5" x 3", but when the guy at powerflow taped them to the valance and I stood back - they looked OK, but thought larger woulod suit the car.....

personally (out of the two) Option 1!

I like the look of option 2; think it would work well with that angled cut.
