    Default Wheel Bearing Question ???

Apologies in advance as I know that this Thread had been done to death, however I cannot find the answer through Search.......

Is there any way of finding out if the Wheel Bearing is gone, and if so how can I find out which one ???

Drooning noise driving me crazy, thought it was the Tyres as threads fairly low, changed all 4 and no difference..........

Got a price from Lloyds local motorfactors for £150 Quid each all in, apparently the Wheel bearing and Hub are one unit?? is this a good price ??

it's not a good price.. they are avaliable of ebay traders for far less, and yes, you'll have to change the whole hub unit..

to check if it's gone, you need to take the brake disc etc off the hubs and then 'feel' for roughness as you turn it.. like 'gravelling' or such in the bearing rather than a smooth rotation.. a job where a bit of experience helps in detection
