It could be something which has been dropped from the later SRI's ? (mines an 03 plate).

Bit odd to drop something that could be classed as a safety feature.

There should be a separete warning light for the airbag system on the dash, I think so anyway - i'll check when I go out in a min

Thanks Drinky, was it dropped for the whole range or just the 1.8's?

You've got me thinking I'm some kind of mentalist now, I am convinced that mine bleeped when someone was in the front seats without wearing the seatbelt. Picked a mate up from his house but he didn't put his seatbelt on it bleeped for maybe 10secs then stopped hasn't bleeped since.

As I mentioned early seems daft to remove a safety feature.

Just been out to try Dave left the door open it just bleeped once and had the warning light on the dash. The bleep for the seatbelt (if I'm not a loony and have been hearing things) is similar to the one when you leave your lights on.

I have a 2003 Vectra LS and now just bought a 2007 Vectra SRi.... and not only has it lost the seatbelt warning but also the electro-chromatic mirror, the rain sensors, the sunglasses holder, the collapsible passenger seat.....the list just goes on!!

They seem to have dropped a lot on the later cars, all the things you mentioned were standard on my SRI.

At a small car show I saw a brand new Vectra with no rear vents in the centre console they are invaluable in the summer to help keep the kids cool, this new Vec just had them blanked off.

PS: oh, besides the sunglasses holder !

Was that the one at Cheshire Oaks?

That car was an Exclusiv, the same one as mine. No rear cup holders either.
