My nerves are starting to set in now, our future will be decided within the next 80mins of rugby!! I've heard a rumour that if we dont get into SuperLeague for next year, we are going to have to go back to part time and therefore will not help our franchise bid for 2009!!

I think it was just a bad day at the office - for the biggest, most important match of the year. Tbh, we haven't been playing at our best since we won the Northern Rail Cup in August.

I feel sorry for Steve McCormack too, he's now been to 4 GF's and come away with 4 runners up medals. Maybe he isn't the right man for the job?!?

Rumour has it that Widnes are going to be part time next season, so that would mean all the players will go and we'll have a average side next year, we'll just have to hope for a franchise in 2009 - but it seems the RFL want Celtic in there before Widnes!!

Sad times here in Widnes at the moment!

TBH I think its bad that a TV company rules the sport. I'm of the opinion that the winner of most games/ table leader should automatically go up, I think its a joke that just because of money you can come 4th in the table and still win the league. It should be more like the playoffs and promotion set up in football.

Sorry for you mate. That's modern sport/ business for you, gamble for glory, just look at Leeds United. There was a time when Widnes were the best team in Rugby League, I don't think anyone is safe nowadays.
