    Default Brake Disc renewal

I am changing my front discs and pads tomorrow.

To do this the caliper retaining frame has to be removed.

Reading the relevant section in TIS it says that when refitting the retaining frame the two mounting bolts have to be tightened to a torque of 230Nm.

Surely this is wrong and the figure should be 95Nm as it is for the Vectra B and the Astra.

I would guess that 230Nm would rip the threads out of the retaining frame.

Could anyone confirm or dispute my comments please?

nope, it's correct.. and put some thread lock on it to.. loctite or similar...

in fact, for best practice, clean all the old locking compound out of the threads first with a wire brush/ tap in the caliper bracket holes to make sure you get a correct figure..
