Not according to the manual. I'm sure there is a way somehow.
i don't think it can be done...i'm no expert on ISOFIX points, but i beleive if you have one in the front seats it automatically disables the airbag..i don't however beleive VX will turn it off for you if you just walk in and ask.
we were told it wasn't unless it was factory specified. bit annoying really
no problem, was just checking just in case, wifes due in the next two weeks or so so we were trying out the seat
Yep this was an option but only when first ordered. It means that when the car detects the child seat via a trasnponder in the seat it turns off the passenger air bag. To check if you have this option, when you turn the ignition to second position you will get a small symbol on the dash near the milage that looks like a child seat. It should stay on for a few seconds if you have it. If you don't it won't light at all. HTH

Only if the baby seat has a transponder and the car is fitted with the (optional?) feature to disable the airbag when it detects the transponder. I don't think ISOFIX ponts are even fitted in the front seats?, thought it was only rears?I don't think they actually can, even if they could. As you say though, even if they could I'm sure they wouldn't as it would mean no airbag for when an adult is in the seat - the dealer would open themselves up to a lot of trouble if the car was in an accident and the airbag didn't deploy when it needed to.
thats what i beleive to be correct yes....
