    Default Caterman tuning boxes

Hi all. Just joined 2day and this is my first post on the site. Whilst browsing the threads have noticed many references to the seemingly (in)famous Caterman tuning box. It doesn't look as complex as most tuning boxes but appears to do the trick. How is it so much cheaper than other boxes yet still gives great results? Apologies if this has been covered umpteen times before...

    Nope! You need a VP44W for the 2.2DTi m8.
All a tuning box does basically is fool the ECU into thinking it needs more fuel.

There are several tuning companies out there that do the VP44. Unfortunately they are very expensive for the results that can be gained from them 125bhp standard up to around 150bhp tuned
    They range from £245 http://www.dieseltuner.co.uk/products.html
    up to £399 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-Opel-...QQcmdZViewItem

However as he's thinking of upgrading the car I guess he's looking at a cdti. Obviously as he has driven a diesel he wont even be considering the inferior petrol burning lumps !!

Caterman box is the best value tuning item you will ever buy. The recent rolling road results showed us what they can do. Tunit diesel tuners showed the 1.9 cdti 150 as the engine that gave the best tuning reults with there (ultra expensive) tuning box.

All I can say is go for it !
