    Default Gearchange cable adjustment

    I'm trying to adjust the cables on my F23 box, and a guy at vx said lift the gearstick cover and underneath theres 2 oblong boxes where the cables go in, thats how you adjust them, but how do you get the boxes open? I dont want to break them and i cant see which end opens up to allow me to get into the adjuster, help ta .

    On the F23 to adjust the cables you put it in neutral and release the cables,on the gearstick housing you'll find a U shaped clip,place the gearstick in neutral and push the clip in,if it's won't go in it's not in neutral ,once the gearstick is locked do up the cables and thats it (according to my manual).After adjusting you could always fit a short shifter,feels a lot better than standard.

    Yep, i've looked at that, the u shaped clip is already in, and i cant see that just undoing the cables and putting them back in the same place is going to tighten the cables up. I thought by opening that little grey clamp there would be some positions to move the inner cable to, i'm a bit miffed ( normal for me ).

    There's not a lot of adjustment,the end of the inner cable is ridged and thats what the fitting grips.Not a lot else to do except change the cables?.
