handbrake issue??????

what is the issue does it effect all vectra c's ?

i have noticed a few time when putting the handbrake on that it didn't engage and rolled back, but i put this down too the armrest being out too far not allowing the handbrake to be engaged properly. or is there a more serious reason for the failure? my car is less than 2 months old.

There seems to a thread started every other day for this handbrake problem !!!!!!
