Default Any other GSi owners had problems selling their car?

I've been trying to sell my GSI since June and I can't find anyone who actually wants to buy it. I've spent £200 advertising it between Ebay (best bid £6100!) and Autotrader (grand total of two phone calls from time wasters and about 7 million from scammers trying to get money to pass my details on to buyers) and nobody has wanted to come and see it. Best of all is the traders. I was offered just £5000 trade in on it last Saturday. This is a 2005 car with 34,000 on the clock, snowflakes and it's mint.

Anyone else having problems shifting one, or is it just me?

I think what puts a lot of people off is the fuel consumption. Also a lot of people think that it will be £400 to tax it, but they don't understand thats anything after march the....something.... 2006

Sorry to hear your having problems moving it along
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I was talking to the sales guy on tuesday about the turbo & gsi. He said not many people want the bigger engine cars anymore cause of the running costs etc thats why they are dropping in price & harder to sell

That plan is on hold for the moment, but I know where to look when it is back on.

I can understand that but as far as the 2.0T goes its running costs are comparable with with the 1.8 assuming the car is paid for in both cases. I had a 1.8 'Active' and was averaging 27 mpg mixed driving and in the 2.0T it's nearer 25 mpg. More than worth the extra 2p/mile IMO. Suppose to be fair it depends on how much driving you do though.

I think it is the 2.8T he is referring to dude, and the running costs ain`t the same as a 1.8

I think you'll find the GSI is the 3.2 V6.
