Roof bars

Hi all,

Just a quicky. Does anyone know if roof bars for an estate (without roof rails) will fit a hatch?

I cant work out how they'd be different other than distance apart?

Anyone got any ideas?

I've asked at the dealer and a Vauxhall Accessories, both said they wouldnt recommend it even if they fitted - but that could have been a sales ploy.

Hi mate, the front bar for the estate fits, but the rear one is about 35mm too narrow and no matter how much brute force and swearing you use, it won't fit. Trust me, I've been there!!
Also the black locking covers on the estate bars sit about 40mm above the roofline instead of giving a neat finish.

if that means you might be selling a set for an estate without roof bars, I'd be interested...

I have adjustable Halfords bars that came of a Vectra C Hatch if anybody wants them as I also have the VX ones. I only kept the Halfords ones because they will fit an Estate as well because they can be adjusted. The Halford ones are surplus to requirements as my other half has just got a new job today and her current company Vectra estate is going to be replaced with a Signum by her new employer.

result, managed to get them for £52, brand new. Now just got to find a decent looking black or graphite box to match the car...

I was watching them...I was going to bid on them but forgot...good job I didnt we'd have been having a bidding war amongst members!!
