No, it's a 'feature' - you will also notice that moving the drivers mirror 'out' also moves the passenger mirror 'out' too.

Supposed to save time as it adjusts both together and then you can fine tune the pass side

My car never used to do this. Both mirrors worked independently of each other until I had my exhaust fitted. Don't know why but got back in the car adjusted the mirror on the passenger side then the drivers and the passenger was miles out. totally miffed!!

No you do not have a problem, I discovered this phenomenon quite a while back, I belive the idea is so that if someone else drives the car they just adjust the drivers mirror and the pasengers will still be in the correct place.

its a pain in the butt, your passenger side mirror may be in the correct position but the driver side mirror needs adjusting, so you adjust the driver side mirror and it also adjusts the passenger side mirror that was ok.

Couldn't agree more. From the drivers seat the angles (of incident & reflection) are significantly different for each mirror. I thought this was an electrical fault too. When I rang the dealer, I was advised to book the car in for a check (?) I find the mirrors (compared to my previous car, Honda & our Verso) a tad on the small side, so adjusting them correctly is critical.

I was in the Rotherithe tunnel when I first realised something was odd, imagine the fun I had trying to adjust them in that narrow space.
