20tdi 52plate new rattle

hi i'm new here so be nice

my 2l dti 52 plate that i've owned from new has been giving me trouble over the last year, i've had the spill pipes changed injector seals done egv and clutch and now tonight the car has a new engine noise, sounds like a old cvh ford escort, like a tapping chattering noise that changed with rpm

i've had a quick read through your site does this sound like timing chain ?

if so what sort of money am i looking at as its booked in mail dealers in the morning

Timing chain sounds plausible....

Plasma got a quote for his old DTI of around £800 all in..so be prepared..

of course it is.... it's still quite a new car, so it's still worth at least 4 times that of anyones money..
