    Default AA or RAC?

I'm going to join on but unsure which. I want roadside and recovery to my choice of destination. The AA seem slightly cheaper at £69.75 where the RAC want £73.60 . Seeing there is not a massive difference, who in your opinion is better?

Personal experience of the AA is promising, but then I remember the RAC being good too, mind you, this was years ago....

RAC for me. Been with them for years and always been pleased with their response times and remedial work

AA have viXen which can read diagnostic faults , so they have a better chance of finding the problem , i used to maintain all the navigation and communication gear for the AA in the SW with my old company , i miss it too meet up with the patrols , and pretty much all of them are total petrolheads

had rac out twice pretty recently after my s60 blew the turbo pipe off. first bloke that came was absolutely useless, in the end i used his tools and "fixed it myself" well got me home anyways. about a month later broke down again this time on the M60 in a very dangerous spot. Police dragged me off the motorway and rac were with me within 20 mins. this guy was great really knew his stuff and followed me 15 miles back to where i was going so i wouldnt have a problem again. Great service tbh. Having said that i'm now with the aa as it worked out cheaper to get a joint policy for me and the missus. Overall i wouldn't say there's much difference between the 2 to be honest. I was with the aa before the rac and changed when it became cheaper to use the rac.
