Default suspension upgrade for 2.8 v6 turbo signum

Just bought a facelift Signum 2.8 v6 turbo -great price & goes well but would like to upgrade suspension to spec similar to VXR. The Signum is a bit soft Any one got any ideas what to fit. Maybe should have bought a VXR estate!

The Design spec already has lowered (20mm) and uprated dampers. If you're finding that a bit soft then next step would be Irmscher, Eibach/Bilstein or similar set-ups.

As Duncan said - depends what trim level your Signum is.

If its anything other than Design/SRi then a set of Eibach springs will lower and stiffen it up nicely. If you've got the Design or SRi you already have shorter shocks and stiffer springs and it won't make a vast difference.

If you've got money to burn, the Irmscher suspension setup (springs & dampers) is supposed to be quite good, or the combination of PI springs with Koni FSD dampers has saved at least 1 of our members!

If your car is an Elite, and has the factory 18" wheels, you also have the Design/SRi suspension as standard.

I am a big fan of Bilstein Dampers and Eibach Springs.

My answer was based on him having the Design spec - as per his profile.

Just out of interest, as you mentioned VXR suspension, this is what you get (lifted this out of the VXR brochure):

It could be argued that creating a sports suspension system is relatively easy: simply
fit some uprated springs, dampers and, possibly, anti-roll bars and it’s ready. There
are plenty of aftermarket kits available, after all. But for VXR we wanted to go a few
    steps beyond.
VXR models feature all of the above, naturally, but we’ve incorporated a number of
extra suspension and steering revisions that separate them from other sports models
in the Vauxhall range. Features such as stronger, low-friction anti-roll bar mounts and
drop links, which allow the anti-roll bars to work at peak efficiency at all times,
rebound stop springs within the dampers, designed to reduce traction-robbing pitch
from the chassis, and revised steering geometry, which gives drivers increased
feedback and allows them to more accurately judge grip levels.
In addition to the considerable chassis work on the UK’s unique road surfaces, much
of the development of the VXR range was carried out at the legendary Nürburgring
Nordschleife circuit in Germany, the ultimate test of chassis performance. Manuel
Reuter, twice winner of the Le Mans 24-hour race, was on the test team and his vast
experience contributed to the final set-up of the cars.

thanks for your help guys i thought that the suspension was uprated but you have confirmed that . my signum only runs on 17" wheels so maybe i will upgrade to 18/19" The reason for my question was that i drove a VXR vectra estate and the suspension and handlig was much better

Yep, the VXR estate will have a much better setup than the Signum Design.

Just noticed - you're right in my neck of the woods!!
