Got stopped last night by 2 very friendly coppers on the motorway....

Just joined M18 from M1 North (roadworks and 50mph limit on M1) - but back up to 70 limit where i was stopped

It was a little after 9pm, and I decided to get the foot down a bit in the hire car.

Anyway, the average speed they clocked me at was 95mph.

So 3 points and £60 lighter.....

Licence no longer clean..

After yesterday morning I think was Karma was there, as my speedo was reading 105.

Anyway, done the crime and didn't argue with them.

I think you could do a fair bit of damage at the legal limit if it comes to that

Ste, we've all been and done it matey. Unfortunately there's a crack down on motorists at the mo as we all know.

Unlucky matey. At least you didn't try to justify it to them. When I got caught a while back I just held my hands up too. They seem to appreciate it.

Yikes! As above, fortunate they just gave you the FPN and not a summons!

I think you mean 25mph over the limit? From Ste's post I understood he was in a 70 limit, not a 50 limit. I think if he'd been doing 95 in a 50 limit it'd have been a summons straight to court and bye-bye license for a short while.
