hi guys, herd alot of people on here useing clay what is it and were can i get it from and does it relay make your cars that shinny. or do use anything before it is used
You can keep your old clay on a freezer back with a load of QD sprayed on it. But tbh I would only reuse it for wheels and maybe glass. If your not fully using the clay just cut some off at the start and keep that for next time.
Glynn, you can get it from Halfords. You get two blocks of clay (so a years worth), some QD, a microfiber cloth and some cleaner polish.

The clay picks up surface contaminants of the paint, you can then run your hand over the car and it will feel like glass, this will not only start to clean the paint but will prep it for polishing and wax. This pic shows how much crap it pulled of the roof of my star silver.
The clay was white by the way!
I did mine a couple of days ago and only used half a bar. Always break it in half incase I drop the first bit. I did all the body work and windows with that half bar. Threw it away when finished. Other half is in the little case that comes with it.
you may wish to also consider just buying the clay bar direct from on line suppliers. Try using the poly clays, they are much softer, and easier to use especially in colder months. You can also use the different grades, green is fine, yellow medium, and white coarse.
