Xenon Headlight Upgrades

I bought a pair of the original vauxhall xenon units off ebay a while ago and was finally thinking about fitting them.

So far I've rewired one using Green Growler's How to and it apperars to work ok. However, the factory Xenons use a 4 wire version of the leveling motors as part of the auto leveling system.

Any ideas whether this can simply be left in place and operate as a three wire motor (sense wire simply unused )or whether they need to be swapped out. Means more wiring mods if they do

Will probably just try moving the manual leveling control and seeing what happens if nobody has any ideas?

Always a little weary of trying random stuff with Vec C in case Can Bus gets p*ssed off........

Got the second one wired up now apart from leveling motor issue. - Well done to Green Growler for excellent wiring how to for xenons.

Figure, I'll just plug em in and see what happens. Fingers crossed will have them fitted by the end of the weekend.

While the HID kits are tempting, this way you end up with the correct lens projector units and most of the wiring still remains internal (I haven't had to modify the car wiring harness or HT packs under the lights etc.). Did buy a new set of 6000k bulbs instead of 4500k standard ones vauxhall put it em.

I've also noticed that the headlights have internal settings for LHD and RHD.

It may be possible to buy the LHD ones that go cheap on german ebay and set them to RHD.
