since a have sorted my power steering by replaceing the pump, thought i would see what it went like, so on a dual carriage way i got 120mph in 4th gear at 5000rpm and it still wanted to go a bit more. does this sound standered or has it had some thing done to it by the previous owner

120MPH! in 4th!

Must be geared differently to my 2.2 DTi as when i am on my private runway it will only pull about 105-107 in 4th, and that is letting it scream its knackers off!

Ditto - on that section of private road we used for our independent speed testing going up to Burnley yesterday I dropped it into 4th to try and keep up with the V6 boys, and by 105 it was on the redline.

i had to replace the gear box because it was smashed when i brought the car. i got a second hand one could this came for a petrol instead of a diesel, because it realy does pull very well indeed. no jokes aside i couldn't belive it myself when i looked at the speedo and sore 120mph
