    Default Parking ticket

Come back to the car today to find this slapped on the window.

Ok hands up, I know im not in the marked bay(86 parked beyond the bay markings) but what harm am i really doing?

I have only taken 1 space so the council won't loose any revenue. Im not blocking no one. The only thing im doing is trying to prevent A** ho*es from scuffing my bumper or denting my doors.

Not to bothered about the ticket but feel that i need to appeal to someone at the council with common sense who understands that alot of motorists think its ok to use someone elses car as a door stop when they open there doors.

What do you think guys. Shall i contest the ticket?

On one hand you are semi blocking the walkway, on the other if you paid for a ticket anyway I don't see how you can receive a ticket for it.

I think you've just encountered ... I'd like a car like that but can't or won't afford one so I'll ruin his day flash git ... scenario.

It was'nt a walkway vaux. It was just a flower pot space lol. Look what i found on the net

"At least one complete wheel should be outside the bay or space. Where a series of cars have straddled the bay markings and it is not possible to identify which vehicle first caused this effect, do not enforce. Do not issue a PCN unless more than 2 bays are affected."

In fairness, YOU parked outside of the marked bay. That's it, in my opinion.

I agree that it seems harsh, but by bending this rule where will it end. the thin end of the wedge always seems petty, but it is there for a reason and has to be enforced evenly and universally.

I think you should not argue, as you clearly are in the wrong and no other cars have straddled the lines.
