    Default Just Bought Another Vauxhall...

...much needed. Cut long story short:

I'm self employed, with a Mobile Disco. All my equipment used to fit in my Vectra...just. But after an expansion of kit, It just wasn't practical anymore to use the vec, it was also damaging the interior. So I decided to get a towbar fitted for a box trailer. Then thought about it more, and ended up with an N-reg Astra Van with long MOT on ebay. Picked it up, planned on tidying it up, etc. I got back what I paid for it the following night with a wedding reception disco.

but now, the kit is expanding (again, business really taking off), and Its just not financially viable to carry out the work on the Astra for the next MOT. So, I thought some more, done some calculations, and the result...

A NEW (57 Plate) Vauxhall Vivaro Sportive 2.0 CDTi 115PS....In Black.

Been told I can pick it up 2nd Oct, as they needed to register it etc.

So, although its a large expence, I'm very pleased (especially as I got such a good deal on a Sportive, a better price than a basic model with 1 optional extra!)

Pics will follow, as soon as it arrives!

We drive a Vivaro for work and their fantastic. They have lots of power, they are comfortable and they look good.Ours is on a 04 plate and people still say 'Nice van,is it new?'.

We drove Transits before and never had anyone comment on that.

    You'll love it.I bet you can't wait

Tax deductable, so it isn't all bad, plus if you get some signs made up it'll be an addy board as well.

I see a one of those(but the renault version) go wrong a few weeks ago. Looked like the throttle stuck on and he could'nt turn the engine off. Smoke everywhere. He had to pull loads of cables from under the bonnet in the end to get it to stop.

But im sure that won'nt happen to yours mate. Nice vans and as you said you can get good deals on them now. Make sure the pics follow

We’ve just taken delivery of a 57 plate Renault version w/ satnav, they (Vivaro, Primaster & Trafic) all share the same chassis, but I don't know if that extends to the engines.

as far as I know they all are built in the same factory as said with identical chassis and bodys. and also then engine options. however, the minor differences are the front grills due to vaux having the 'v' grill. and on the older shape pre '07 the indicator is in the bumper on the vaux, but under the headlight in the renault and nissan.

oh, and they are ply lining the back end floor and walls for me!

cheers for the comments, and of course pics will follow!
