Spanner light and 1,000

Hi guys, looking for some advice here.
The above comes on when I switch the engine off. Now I know its supposed to mean that its 1000 miles before the next service is due, if Im reading things properly. My problem is, its sitting on 96800 miles at the mo, last year in May the service was done and next one was due at 96100 odd. When it was serviced this year they(dealers) put down 11100 odd miles or April next year.
So question is, did they forget to reset the service interval or is it some much worse? BTW she is due her MOT next Friday...thats all I need....

If it was serviced at 96k then i'd say they forgot to reset it

D.I.Y Rob, it's in the how 2 section how 2 do it.

p.s, if it's due a MOT, run some inj cleaner through it beforehand and give it a quick blast up the motorway, drop the oil and stick some fresh 10/40 - 5/30 and a new air filter in it whichever you prefer, should make sure you don't fail emissions testing.

after my last service ! the light came back on after about 2K ! reset it myself and it has,nt done it since ! very strange !!
