Arrow Chip Upgrade to Signum V6 CDTI

I have looked on the www and found a few places that can upgrade the performance of my car - however, most can only get it to 225bhp. Does anyone know of anyone or anywhere that can squeeze more power out of it?

Does anyone know how good these upgrades are, if they work, do they cause more problems etc?

Would be good to hear about other peoples experiences in chipping their diesel cars!

    Cheers.........Dunc

    I see yours is a 2006 model which means its probably a Euro4 184PS 3.0 V6.
You may have a problem finding a re-map for this engine (according what people have said). The nearest anyone got to getting a Euro4 re-map was Maverick. I think he went all the way to http://www.torquingbhp.co.uk/ only to find out they couldnt do a Euro4. They can do a Euro3 (pre-facelift) ok and a few guys have had it done and they are very pleased with it.

i had mine done by Darryl at TorquingBHP, and that was pushing out 226bhp. And by all accounts, that makes it one rapid car!! It never failed to put a grin on my face that's for sure. i don't think you'd need much more than that, and besides, the car in standard form just isn't up to more than that, it's a very front heavy car and definitely needs stiffer springs and shocks to get the most out of the increased power. i've only got the eibach springs which help a bit, but a full suspension kit would make the world of difference.

I used to run with a CRD2 and you can see from my posts on here about the problems I had with my engine. I had the EDS re-map put on and even more problems so it was put back to standard. It appears to play havoc with the DPF on facelifts. All the major re-mappers have stopped doing the facelifts now. Personnaly after what I have been through I would'nt bother on the V6CDTi and leave it as it is.

I believe that users of the powerklick type boxes were advised to use only the minus settings on the box if they had the Euro 4 engine.Personally I only use the minus settings on my EURO 3 engine (currently -3 and still loads better than standard) with no smoke or other problems. What you have to understand is that the minus settings are only a small percentage less than the plus settings when compared to standard. You won't get figures to brag about from the 3.0 diesel, but you will get a better than standard engine if you don't go crazy with the adjustment.

I would advise anyone with the V6 to start from the lowest setting and work up from there. You may find that the lowest setting is OK anyway!
