    Default New rear bumper information

Given that I'm getting a new bumper after my slight prang yesterday, does anyone know if a new bumper comes complete with the black insert that goes along the lower edge? I'm thinking that this might be my chance to get my reversing sensors fitted in the right place!

when they order it, they may well just order the top part...if they need a new lower valance as well than it will be ordered as a seperate part....it all depends on how bad the damage is..

As above, lower skirt is a separate item to the bumper. You're not going to fit them on the lower skirt are you? You'll find the markings on the back of the bumper to cut through for the sensors.

Apologies if I've misunderstood your post and stated the bl**dy obvious!

Phil i'm not sure if you have the car outside your house. Have they come to see the damage yet? If you have it and the have not seen it. Go outside and give the lower rear spliter a bit of bash about " near the other damage". They will have to change the lot then. "Not that i condone any sort of tampering with things"

Yep, sensors are in the lower panel, hence the question. Even with wedges, they're too low, so I was hoping that they'd replace both so I could start again.
It's been to the bodyshop to be looked at, so too late to ""enhance" any damage.
I was kind of tenpted to ask them for a quote to fit a new panel anyway, with twin exhaust cutouts, so I could change the exhaust to suit, but my credit card bills after our various silver wedding celebrations are already getting scary!
The insurance company rang yesterday, asking if I wanted to claim for any additional "issues." I had to admit that I felt fine, but the priceless Ming dynasty vase on the back seat and the 47" plasma telly on the back seat were badly damaged!

Right, that's what I thought you'd meant. You definitely want them on the bumper itself, not the skirt.
