This game is making me considering flexing my already over flexed Visa to buy an Xbox 360 Elite! ... I must show restraint!
David, I did exactly the same thing, i have a premium 360 already and i ordered an elite from ebuyer.com on Monday night at 18.45 and it was delivered at 10.05 the following morning for about a tenner, i used the components connection on my premium and the HDMI cable on the elite and it makes a lot of difference, I still have my premium connected up via components and you can see the difference even in the dashboard, plus the elite seems quicker, may just be me thinking its quicker cos its an "elite" but it runs a lot better and quieter than the premium i have, it also boots up quicker, when i turn the elite on its already signed into live and showing the dashboard by the time ive turned the tv over to HDMI2 input.
At the mo i have a premium 360, elite 360 and a ps3 connected to my Plasma.. Its great.. I can play head to head and win..!!!
EDIT:- Sorry, Not exactly helping you with the restraint bit am i???
lol no Big Pete you're not! ...but once the gadget-frenzy takes me I often give in!
I've not got a 360 at all, only an old xbox that I rarely use. I don't have a HD tv, but the look of the Halo 3 game is making me think about taking the plunge, especially when I consider Xbox live so I can play a few friends that have them
Do it.... Give in to the gadget urge... i can't see that you will be disapointed.
Honestly Halo 3 is a very good game, the games graphics are like watching a film...
Xbox live is fantastic, on halo 3 and other games you can go thru the missions with a friend using xbox live, and there are loads of multiplayer games and you can even make up your own maps...
Ive been playing my copy today. Its brilliant,go and get it.
I want an HD TV now :-( Got a little 20" HD TV in the kitchen but I think its a bit too small. My 32" CRT is only a few years old and I can't throw it out! (It was top of the range 3 years ago) Aaagh!!
Ill be getting halo 3 when I have some time to go at it properly..
Ive got an elite, my first 360, good deal from Gamestation £315 for elite, extra wireless controller, Blue dragon and forza 2 games ..
theres so much content available, its a little overwheling to start with lol.. looks seriousl amazing using the HDMI connections on a 42 " lcd hd , I tried the other cables ( so I could get it into pal 60 instead of 50 ) and was appalled at the picture quality ..
and for any of the non believers in the 120gb hard drive instead of 20 .. well I have 35 Gb of stuff on mine already, and thats all via the live link
some good pics from a really good gaming forum here ( biased opinion possibly lol ) http://www.tpsreport.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=2542
Well I finally gave in to temptation! ...but I ended up with the normal version of the Xbox 360. Seems in Bradford you can't find an Elite for love nor money, so as I don't have a HD tv I plumped for a Premium version.
I paid 300 notes for the Premium (Xbox 360, wireless controller, 20gb HDD, headphones etc.) Halo 3, Forza 2 and an extra wireless controller.
Played it for about an hour and a half tonight, loving Halo 3, even on a standard TV... looking out now for extra games to buy, forgotten how good gaming was tbh
jon u need to manually save the game in this one i done the same but didnt go to far so its all gd
this game is the don but im torn between playin gthis and guitar hero lol and guitar hero 3 is out on the 2nd of november better get cracking on finishing all the bits on halo mes thinking
