    Unhappy Windscreen NIGHTMARE

I had a crack in my windscreen a few weeks ago so got it replaced on the insurance

2 guys from autoglass came to do it, took them bl00dy ages to do, thought great that will save me cleaning that one this weekend!

All was well until the mrs got in and noticed that looking out the windscreen when travelling it made her feel sick!?!?, turns out the glass was all rippled thus giving a really iwerd sensation when travelling at speed, so onto the phone and they came and changed it yesterday.

Great all sorted, so i thought, on my way home i thought blimey the turbo is loud, i hope that tuning box isnt killing the turbo! , it was wierd i can hear the turbo as tho it was sat on the dashboard! on closer inspection i couldnt find anything apart from very fine glass chippings all over the bonnet a lump of paint missing off the roof and a huge scratch!

not a good experience, they are comming to sort it out on tuesday but they didnt seem to bothered about the chip or the scratch, but are interested in the wind noise?

    any advice anyone?

If you can be 100% that the chip and scratch wasn't there before then strongly insist that they sort it, obviously it must be around the windscreen are so that will only reinforce your claim.

Had bother with them in the past. had a cav v6 broken in to. called them up to replace the broken window, "yeah no problem weve got that in stock, bring the car down to the depot" after asking them to make sure that the glass was there.

got there, it was for the opposite corner

how can rear passenger window be translated as front drivers window!?!!

sometimes i really wonder about folk!

I’ve had windscreens done on other cars before, and in both cases there was excessive wind noise after the new screens were fitted.

I was just told, that "all these cars are like this".

oh and the lad scrated my bonnet! He was holding a screwdriver while yanking on the wiper arm trying to remove it!, and dug the driver into my bonnet.

hope, you get it sorted tho, dont let them fob you off.
