    Thumbs up Regal Remap ROCKS!

Went down to Regal Autosport in Southampton yesterday for my remap. After a 3 hour journey that ended up taking over 5 hours due to motorway traffic around Birmingham I arrived there about an hour later than arranged. I felt the ridiculous journey was worth it as their latest map now includes new DPF regeneration parameters.....all you estate and signum owners will know how good that sounds

I was slightly apprehensive, mostly due to Nutron's constant barrage of abuse in their general direction, but the second i walked through the door I was made to feel at ease. Karen, the lady behind reception greeted me with a genuine smile and immediately came across as both frindly and professional.

I'd asked for before and after runs on the dyno, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I wanted to a baseline to compare the remapped figures to, and sI also wanted to see if the stainless exhaust I had fitted last week had made any real difference.

Very pleasantly suprised, because I've read some reports that Regal's dyno was a bit optimistic to say the least, but my first run came out with 155 BHP and 248 lbft, which was pretty much what I expected. Then after a bit of a wait while EDS did their thing, they loaded the new map and ran my car on the dyno again. They claim to get 200 BHP from this remap, but I wasn't holding out much hope. The remapped run came back with 191 BHP and a whopping 297 ftlb!.

I was qute happy with the 191 BHP to be honest, but as Karen deftly and gracefully relieved me....*ahem*...of a tadge over £500 she explained that she had this map on her signum 1.9CDTi and her dyno run, done a week or so after the remap, showed the elusive 200 BHP. Apparently it's quite normal to have a first run around 190, but as the ECU relearns during the first few miles of driving, the power should increase.

    We'll see on Saturday, eh?

So, I'd like to give a hearty to Nutron, and a resounding to Regal. Their slogan is 'Expectations Acheived' - and they more than met mine. I'd have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them to anyone.

    well done mate!

my impression of them is slightly different, i purchased a strut brace off them, he went to hand it to me then said i'll get you the fixings. came back with four nut and bolts ( that I dint need) and the sticker that was on the strut was removed!!!!

I think they are making £70 profit off the strut!!

Sounds Good Paul.. Bet you've hardly been out of the car, Can't wait to get mine done.. I'll hopefully get the exhaust done at either MIJ or ive been recommended a custom exhaust place in basildon thats supposed to be really good, By then i'll hopefully have the Regal IPF so i can get mine remapped from home.

Did you change the rear skirt so that the exhaust shows or have you left them hidden?
