    Default The Temple of Tyres

I'm off to Micheldever tomorrow for a new set of tyres. Strangely excited by the prospect...

3 months of umming and arrrrring over which to go for has reached it's climax! Should I be sensible or sporty???

I eventually settled on Goodyear Excellence as a reasonable compromise. Under £100 for each 215x50x17 fitted, which is what Mytyres etc seem to charge for delivery only!

    See Protyre.co.uk for details

Micheldever are pretty good. Make sure you are clear in your mind what you want and need though. They tried to force my old man to put a different size tyre on his 620Ti once, he had to virtually force feed them the handbook before the conceded he was right!

    Always good to me though.

Good tyres those, but the Hydragrip seems to handle better. Doesn't last as long as the Excellence though.

Micheldever are good, I always get my tyres from them. I always get caught out by the wait though. I normally get there at 7.50 and I'm still in a queue! It's normally taken just under an hour each time I've been there.

Hope your southampton meeting isn't a long one, its a bit tight getting to Dartford for 2 isn't it???
