    Default 2.0T 06/07 model changes ??

    Following on from this thread

    http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread.php?t=30934&page=5

    It appears that the 2.0T has had some sort of engine / turbo or exhaust upgrade from the previous model. I would be interested to know what they were, anybody in the know ?? In my opinion if it is a lot easier to tune then it is a lot more atrractive buy !!

    I Think The 06/07 Is A Completly Different Engine As It Has A Different Engine Code Not The Z20let.

    I thought the vec 2.0t is and was never a let unlike the astra which is a let.
    EDIT: According to TV V files Vec and bigbum are both Z20NET
    the older astra use the LET and new ones use the LEL, LER and LEH
    The first letter stands for Compression, the second is for fueling and the last minor differences.
    Last leters:-
    T= turbo
    L= Low output
    R= Increased power
    H= High output (astra VXR)

    2.0T in mine is definitely a Z20 NET. I don't know if the actual engine (i.e. the model number) has changed in 06/07 - didn't think so.

    Vehicle : Insignia Grand Sport

    The Vectra User Manual (2007), as on the VX website, still has the 2.0T engine shown as Z20NET, which it has been since its introduction to the Vectra range in 2003, and the details shown appear to be the same apart from slightly lower recommended tyre pressures (down from 35 all round to 33 all round for up to 3 passengers) . Suppose that doesn't necessarily mean that the engine mapping is identical now to what it was before, which may have something to do with the different bhp/torque gains with BSR Stage 1. On the BSR website they have different projected figures for bhp/torque gains for Saabs of different model years, and indeed the projected gains for VX Astras and Zafiras exceed those for the Vectra, as do those for the Focus ST, Audi T-SFI 2.0T, and others from the VAG stable. Anyway, it would not make commercial sense to retrospectively re-re-map pre-2006 Vectra 2.0T's.

    I have found out the difference between the year models my mistake from before it is obviously the z20net not let.
    basically they are the same engine with different tech1 coding which doesn't really matter for us the consumer.
    The following parts have been ommitted(removed) from the poss late 05 - 07 veccy 2.0t
    Charge pressure sensor on manifold ( not needed)
    exhaust gas temp sensor ( after cat not needed calculated at oil temp)
    oxygen sensor changed from ngk to bosch (widerbanded)
    ecu mapping unit changed upgraded with software.

    these can not be retrofitted to 03/ 04 models unfortunately

    Or retro Unfitted *lol* Cheers for that, the later cars look to be a more tunable option then by all accounts ? This is probably to take the engine more in line with the saab units as they apear to have a bit more ooooomph ...
