    Default Winter Cleaning..

With Winter almost upon us again, has anyone got any special cleaning advice, or just the normal stuff?

Do it quickly, Less chance of catching a cold!!

Big late Autumn prep with copious amounts of wax, then hose down and clean off any crud before it affects the aerodynamics!

Well at this time of year I clay the car to get rid of any muck it has picked up over the summer......I also do this in the spring to get rid of the muck picked up over the winter.

    so the idea is: -

Wash wheels, tyres & arches (not high pressure in the arches)
wash car (using a wash mitt NOT a sponge and 2 buckets)
    clay car
    wash car again
at this point you could apply a polish to remove/fill swirls (see note)
then apply either a sealant or a wax or a sealant and a wax (i do the last)
    apply a wheel wax
    apply a tyre dressing
    polish glass
    dress rubber & platic trim

Note: - something like AG SRP or if you're really into it then ScratchX
