    Default CHeaper car insurance

No sure if you folks are aware of the site www.quidco.co.uk , just got my insurance through the Prudential £304 , and that includes free breakdown cover including at home and recovery to anywhere in the uk, but i get £130 back via Quidco and its already showing as tracked , so cost of insurance is £177 for the year , not bad i thought

I've been using quidco for quite some time.... its not only for insurance... lots and lots of online companies will pay a premium to quidco which in turn they pass on to you.

I saved £270 on my renewal quote by going through the moneysavingexpert.co.uk site to find the best quote.... then visiting the best quote site via quidco. I stripped the recovery from policy and took a good deal with Green Flag which also gave me £25 quidco back . Be warned though, Quidco can take a long time to give the money to you. (up to 6 months in one case for me)

I always use confused.com. Got my 07 plate 1.8 for £225 fully comp with no claims protected and my wife as a named driver.

If any of you are putting your wife on your policy then it pays to try swapping round the 'main driver'.With me as the main driver they wanted £265 whereas with my wife as the main driver it was £225.Go figure

Just be careful doing that - it's technically lying to them...

If you've got a standard car, and there's 2 cars in your household, Direct Line do excellent discounts for 'second car' policies, and also give you pretty hefty rewards for being married. Because obviously being married makes you a safer driver...
