    Default Reasonable tyres

    Hi guys,

I've just put up a reply in another thread about these but I thought it might be worth puting up a dedicated one so here you go.

There's always people looking for tyres and my son (Stuart) was one of them, a while back he was looking for tyres for his summer wheels and went for the Yokohama Parada's, his tyres are only 195/50/15 but he only paid £30 each delivered.

The Parada's look great on the car and are performing really well and as you can see they're very well priced.

As an example check out the ebay link you'll see what they look like and there's a guide price aswell....just a thought so here's the link: -

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/205-40-17-YOKO...QQcmdZViewItem

Stuart was actually after semi slicks but the mileage he would get put him off but the Parada's look very similar to the Toyo R888 semi slicks so you get the best of both worlds eh

Cheers for the tip off Bryan. I think a lot of us will be interested.
Thing that worries me is that I don,t know anywhere that can replace a tyre on an alloy without damaging the alloy.
I have not yet had a set of tyres fitted to what is now my wifes Vectra, without at least one of the rims being damaged.

I know the feeling Ed......from what others have said .......just yesterday Shaun (182_blue on DW) paid £40 (including a tip) to have his tyres fitted to his brand new BBS wheels, he gave the guy the 3rd degree before he started just to be confident the guy could do it.

He also went to a few other places who refused point blank to do it, probably because they knew they would do damage.....he's in Nottingham just so people know there is a place there who can fit tyres without damaging the rim....if anyone wants the details I'll get them for you

Hey Mark I know it's the 1st time ever that I have recommended a make of tyre other than Michelin.......and the only reason is that the Parada's really do look good on the car, are lasting well and Stuart tells me they excellent on the road in all conditions and he has had Conti's, F1's etc

My local try fitters don't damage wheels.. they know far better than that....

when i took Mrs GSi's brand new irmscher wheels in they could only get one guy to do it..and he earnt his 'bonus' from me....15 mins a wheel to mount and balance them..

The only thing about it is that it's sooooo simple all that is needed is for the machine to be adjusted to the correct height then it's impossible to cause any damage.........good to hear you've found a reliable fitter though, next time you're in there ask him how come some tyre fitters damage rims he'll probably say something like "och f- - - knows useless *****" or words to that effect .......this is something most people don't think about until it's too late then they are shown the usual "at your own risk" nonsense eh

    too true..

it happens that i know the owner of the outfit..so when i called about her new rims, he said that this guy was who i wanted....

if you stand real close.. they normally get the hint not to damage them....

Yeah I think the guy with the BBS's yesterday was standing a bit closer than "real close"
