    Default Wheel waxing??

Have always been a tad obsessed with washing me car and always clean and dress tyre walls with ARMORALL tire foam (yes, I know daft american spelling!!). However after a few days the alloys are always caked with brake dust even though I wipe the alloys with paper roll after applying the foam to catch the runs. I have never waxed the alloys and wondered whether this will prevent as much brake dust sticking to the alloys?? Any thoughts and as to which one is the best buy, from where, price etc. Cheers

I fitted EBC "Green Stuff" Pads, they boast 90% less brake dust, also use "Chemical Guys" wheel wax every 3 months on the alloys. Wheels just hose clean once a week. see hear:@http://www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=28

I clean my wheels then use Autoglym super resin polish and Autoglym extra gloss protection on mine.
Quick wipe with a sponge and rinse with a hose once a week and they come up a treat!!

I put a touch of wax on the outsides not so long back and it does seem to keep them cleaner longer and easier to wash lol.
Just need to find a spare few mins and a couple of axle stands and do the insides proper at some point lol
Probably around the same time as I paint my calipers!!

I wax mine as I am doing the car every couple of months, makes them easier to clean for sure, and keeps the corrosive brake dust off them ..

I use a product called Wheel Wax [not a very original name I must admit], It is quite good and makes the wheels easier to cleanI also put Megs number 21 sealent on them too.

any wax makes cleaning easier. I admit to using tesco wheel cleaner weekly, and just occasionally bleach and water diluted (if i run out of tesco's finest).
